Skate Not HateThe site for skaters who respect themselves and others

Punk is about fast music, crazy hair, and ripped jeans. Behind that is the desire for freedom of expression and individuality. Unfortunately, some people have used it to mean being anti-social and destructive. The problem is that these attitudes usually bring about more restrictions than freedoms. Sometimes it's because the law or your parents punish you. However, it often results in people not wanting to hang out with you because they see you as the bad kind of punk. So the question is, "How can you be a punk without being destructive?"
  • Pranks - There are plenty of pranks that are fun for everyone involved that don't have to hurt anyone, it just takes a bit of the creative energy that makes you unique to come up with them.
  • Games - Even though the media often disses video games, sometimes there's nothing more fun than getting your friends together to virtually duke it out for an hour or two. As long as you know the difference between fantasy and reality, games can be a great way to do things you can't do in real life.
  • Music - Check out a concert, listen to the radio, or pick up a guitar. Playing and writing music can be hard, but trying out different sounds and instruments can be really great fun.
  • Sports - This is a skate site, so most of you probably already know how free-spirited skateboarding or aggressive inline is. However, there are plenty of others sports where you can express your individuality. You could even make up your own sport if you wanted!
