Fan/Hate MailWe have received some great responses from people, but we do have our critics. Let me just say quickly that you're never going to please everyone. No matter how you live your life, someone's going to dislike you. On the other side of things, you can usually find someone who does like you no matter what also, though that's not always as obvious because the ones who don't like you are often the most outspoken. Regardless, you might as well live the life you believe in and let other people worry about who's cool and who isn't.
The site is great. I finally got around to looking at the other sections on your site. I follow along all of those lines. I have been ridiculed for wearing pads but it has never stopped me or my progression. If I had to say something to all the little ones just starting, let it be wear your pads, don't let other influences influence you, and commit to your addiction. (skating addiction that is :-))

Besides, unlike you, I'm not trying to make people behave a certain way through intimidation, I'm merely making suggestions that people might find useful. Sure, throwing your board might blow off steam from time to time, but it has the same problems as smoking. At first, cigarettes can relieve stress, but after a while, the craving for it can actually cause more stress. Next time you get mad and you don't have a skateboard to throw, you might get even more stressed than you need to be. And yes, I'm also suggested that inhaling poisonous smoke directly might not be such a hot idea either, as "crazy" as that might sound.

All I have to say to you is that you, and people like you are the reason that people look upon skateboarding as sport for those whom are "bad" people. Is that really the best thing that you have to do with the time that you have, bash people who love skateboarding? It seems to me that you need to really look at what skateboarding is about, which is having fun and maintaining a positive attitude....not disrespecting skateboarding and this site. -Kyle "The Vulture" Decot |
