Syntheism is a philosophy which explores the question “Does God exist?” but in doing so challenges the distinction altogether. Without collapsing into contradiction, it suggests that the theist/atheist polarity does not sufficiently account for the complexities present in the language and practice of believers and nonbelievers. It seeks a truth not bound by culture or time and provides a different perspective for those dissatisfied with the classic categories.
